Woodcote Pre-school has for years prided itself on the equality of opportunity which it offers to all families, whatever their circumstances or means. We welcome families receiving benefits.
Our Equal Opportunities Co-ordinator is Alke Lewis. We are extremely unusual in that for many years we have welcomed children in nappies. We felt that to do otherwise would discriminate against those children who, for whatever reason, were finding toilet-training difficult. We have a private changing area for children still in nappies.

Woodcote Pre-school has disabled access throughout its premises.
It also has disabled toilet facilities.

The Pre-school staff have very considerable expertise,
in terms of both qualifications and years of experience, in the area of special needs.
One of our staff in particular spent fifteen years working as a Mencap volunteer,
often running arts and crafts sessions.
We have computer software specifically designed for those with special educational needs.
Our Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) is Liz Newland-Smith.
We cater for special diets, whether required as a result of a food allergy or religious observance.
Whilst we operate an Equal Opportunities Policy, we do insist on there being no smoking within the Pre-school premises.
