Any rumbly tummies at Woodcote Pre-School were silenced last week when the children had a surprise lunchtime treat. To celebrate National School Dinners Week, Avril Thatcher, the pre-school's cook and dinner lady, prepared a 'Jungle Feast'.
Mrs. Thatcher said: "The children have been studying the jungle this half term, so I thought it would be fun to tie the children's topic in with one of their lunches.
"We pride ourselves on our hot meals, which are provided every day, and it certainly made a change from roast chicken and shepherd's pie!"
For the jungle feast, the children tucked into a 'lion face', cheese quiche, a French bread python and a cucumber crocodile, followed by kiwi fruit and fresh pineapple.
